Know of any good ways to predict revenue from ads? I know this is your guys department.

It really depends, there are so many different methods of advertising, verticals, and demographics. What are you working with?

Im not working with any certain particular set. I’ve got a target age demographic and speculation at this point. I’m just trying to figure out the best way to get an estimate.

basically have to spend $50.00 to know how much you can make or not make I think.

What do you mean by that?

        • You could seek out the most relevant terms for the project and see how many searches the terms are getting each month on.

Based on your overall predicted market share you could predict the amount of traffic you would receive. If you could rank in the top 3 on google for the terms it’s likely you could get +20% click through rate. Or even 40-50% clickthru on terms you rank #1 for.

Once you formulate some guess at how many total visitors you can pull down, you could start forcasting banner clicks. If 1% of your visitors click on a banner – or if 2%. Likely it will be between 0.5-2% for relevant ads. Now that you are starting to estimate your banner clicks, you need to estimate a price you could earn per click.

I’d consult various keyword bidding assistants and online tools to check and see what they recommend bidding on google to buy the terms your site will be focused on. This will give you an estimate of how much people are paying for each click for whatever keyword you are researching.

Now keep in mind, Google takes about 1/2 the price per click. So divide everything by 2 and you could start forecasting adsense revenue.
